Then Saturday 3/17 we went downtown to watch the St. Patrick's Day Parade.
And....(drum roll please).... Introducing the newest member of our family...
BEARON ROWDY VON BOW WOW!!!!!
(the bear-on is a purposeful spelling cause he looks like a mini bear. So please do not correct the spelling when writing him love letters.)
This cute little guy followed us for about 2 miles on our walk this morning. He was too scared to approach us for about 1/2 an hour, but then after we left the coffee shop he trotted straight over to Bonzo and tried to play with him. After a bit of coaxing and a lot of soft murmurs, he let me pet him. After that, he was ours!
He had a collar on that someone put on him when he was an itty puppy but then they forgot about it cause he had outgrown it and it was choking the poor guy! He also had gnarls in his coat and a badly scraped and torn (man area), and he is such a skinny puppy! So, after looking online and seeing that there were two other Australian Kelpies turned into the pound, from that same area, in the last week we've decided to keep him. I'll of course take him to the vet to see if he is micro chipped, and post "Found" posters, but other than that- HE'S OURS!
He is a very sweet little guy, and he loves Bonzo (although the feeling is not reciprocated) and follows him around where ever he goes. So, I think we've got a new baby boy dog!
