Valentine's Day

Peter and his Valentine- Bella Vog (yep, she's on his lap!)
He was supposed to be taking a nap before our family Valentine party- but this is what was really happening in there. Bonzo and Pete are great buddies.
The table all set for a Filly Valentine celebration of love!
Reading his card from Grandma Pat. He made me read it LOTS!

Our little Piper is growing growing! She's such a sweetie.

He drank heavy whipping cream- ick!

Piper in her new little excersaucer. This was taken RIGHT AFTER I plunked her in it. Funny.

Mama and her happy boy.

Mama and her not so happy girl.

Finally got my brother's band sticker on the new car.

For my birthday/Valentine's day gift, my in-laws took the kids, and Brian took me to a really awesome hotel in downtown Spokane called the Montvale. It's a renovated hotel from the 1800's- and it is just amazing inside. After checking in we went to dinner and then dancing at the dueling piano bar. It was a really great weekend. The best!

In the cellar of the hotel is an awesome little pub called The Catacombs. And there I got to try Absinthe. Ever since I saaw Moulin Rouge I have wanted to try it- it's a different mix than what they drank back then (cause ya know, lead and heroin are not all that great for a person...) but it still has the general taste and presentation. Here are the shots of the sugar cubes being lit on fire before we gulped it down.
